The Artist
Roya Jenner
“In my art, I visualize moments and fill them with peace, love and understanding. Mediums such as bold acrylics, printed words and thick modeling paste allow me to clearly communicate what I’m feeling passionate about.
I create impactful therapeutic art to help others better understand and gain more clarity on topics such as mental health, LGBTQ+, racial equality and other movements.
Art motivates me to inspire others to take action against homophobia and discrimination. I want my work to serve as a conduit for self-love, forgiveness and as visual therapy.
I feel that being an artist means also being open, raw and vulnerable. It is only then that we break down walls and can actually see each other with love and be grateful to exist on this earth.”
BIO
Roya Jenner is one of Long Island, New York’s bold mixed media artists best known for depicting difficult moments with the goal of helping others better understand and relate to uncomfortable topics.
Sharing her first impactful piece ‘The Authentic Woman’ in 2020, Roya’s first piece as an artivist was created to wake the core of women’s souls. With her own soul now bared, she went on to form even more powerful works that set the scene for her body of work.
Roya’s StudioRoya brand has since expanded to offer prints of her original work, commissioned art, digital brand consulting, one-on-one artist coaching and creative mixed media classes for children. StudioRoya’s newly designed line of mixed media jewelry showcases her digital skills with her visual creativity, producing affordable wearable art for all.
Roya’s artistry is instantly recognizable, with a unique aesthetic that carries through each of her works. Reprints can be found on RedBubble under the StudioRoya brand with a wide array of options in home decor, fashion, drink ware and more. Her original artwork can also be found in gallery shows on Long Island throughout the year as she answers calls to artists she specifically resonates with.
Inspiration for Roya comes from her own life experience and quest for equality for all. Injustice sparks her passion to share her perspective on difficult matters via a canvas or up-cycled surface. Her placement of color, icons, words and imagery are always intentionally applied with care and precision.
Roya’s primary intention is for her artistry to reach others so that they feel seen, heard, supported and celebrated.
